In the spirit of full disclosure, I received this product for free in exchange for a thorough and honest review. I only recommend products & systems that I use and love myself, so I know you’ll be in good hands.
I had never heard of Bakerly before, so when I was approached to offer a review of their products, I was intrigued. The email I received said the following;
A new, all-natural French snack company “bakerly” is crossing the Atlantic to make its products available in the U.S. for the first time including Crepes, Mini Brioche & delicious chocolate-filled Croissants.
This was in the first paragraph of their intro, and really, they didn’t need to say anymore! Crepes, Mini Brioches…chocolate-filled Croissants! A little taste of France! Yes please!
“Simple ingredients. Honest origins”
What I didn’t know (besides how absolutely delicious their products are) is their ingredients. Each product is individually wrapped, which is perfect to throw in a diaper bag and eat on the go. They are non-GMO verified foods made with real butter, rBST-free milk, and unbleached wheat flour. There are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives in their products and are free of hydrogenated or partially-hydrogenated oils.
I have tried them all and I can honestly say that they are so delicious! Normally when I have things like croissants or brioches from bakeries they have an oily undertaste to them, but these don’t. The croissants are flaky and soft, the crêpes are the perfect combination of soft and chewy and the filling is not overwhelming at all. Even the sponge filled cakes are not overly sweet. They are just perfect.
The ultimate test in whether any food is good is to give it to a toddler that is a picky eater, so I did just that.
He has tried the strawberry and apricot sponge cakes, and as you can see, they were a hit. He has also tried the chocolate filled crêpes and loved them.
These snacks are perfect for his busy little hands and perfect for on the go. They are also perfect little treats for moms too.
